This is a circa 1880's stoneware fruit jar, in generally perfect condition. (a couple of small niggles on the top edge, but no chips or hairline cracks). Stands 6 1/4" high and appears to be a pint capacity...very scarce in this smaller size. There is no wording impressed or painted on it. A very handsome crock with the original tin lid. (Though this is heavy, shipping & insurance it to order anywhere in the USA -- is FREE). Thanx for looking!
