We specialise in selling Leach only items (Leach sold by Leach!), mainly those made by Jeremy but also at times David and Simon Leach. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask and we will get back to you.

A bit of Leach family history if you are interested…

Following the passing of his father David in 2005, Jeremy became sole career for his mother Elizabeth and during this time still potted at Lowerdown until her passing in 2009. The family home was then subsequently sold but Jeremy was allowed to continue to use the pottery and showroom until 2012. At this stage he moved across the road to the Edgemoor Hotel grounds where a lease on the land was granted for 10 years for Jeremy to establish a small studio pottery on the grounds of the hotel. Please see picture attached.

A little about me…I grew up in Spain with my parents and although in a different country my father, Simon Leach (the youngest of the brotherhood!) worked tirelessly to establish the pottery amongst the almond groves of the Spanish countryside. Having undergone an apprenticeship with grandad (David Leach) years previous, he was already an established potter in his own right and had developed his own style. So I grew up close to the clay and the pottery workshop in Spain watching my dad make pots in the Spanish heat. When I was 16 I decided to come back over to the UK to join the Army (a life-long ambition of mine at the time). I enjoyed 10 years of adventures and operations before leaving and settling in Plymouth where I currently live with my family. I visit my uncle Jeremy at his workshop in Bovey Tracey every week where spend some time on the wheel and discuss different topics.

My father Simon Leach lives and pots in Pensilvania, USA. He also runs pottery workshops across North America. He has a website and an amazing Youtube instructional video account so check him out for some great tips!

As nephew to Jeremy and grandson of David Leach it is my privilege to sell this item as a Leach Pottery representative. I hope you enjoy it!
