Product code: Very unusual Victorian sterling silver christening order spoon, antique. IR/560
A unusual sterling silver christening spoon, quite robust, it is as a normal dessert type spoon but the finial is a naked baby using the end of the spoon as a teether.
Fully hallmarked in Birmingham in 1897 and made by C.S & F.S, Saunders and Sheperd and has a registration number 296615, it is 17cm or just short of 7 inches in length and weighs 40 gram.
As to be expected it has had use in it's life and I point you to the first picture order, the tip of the bowl and the handle just below the baby, these are mentioned just for full disclosure and do not affect the spoon nor use of the spoon.
It is not engraved and never has been engraved.
