Vintage 1960s White order Small Pillbox Hat with Orchid and Red Layered Bow - Mr. Herbert

This hat is absolutely 1960s in vintage, and labeled Mr. Herbert. The small pillbox probably was designed to sit at the back of the head with a full-ish hair style, but it looks cute in various positions, including a doll (miniature) tilt hat style.

Made of glossy white stiffened fabric over very stiff netting, the hat is decorated with an orchid purple satin ribbon made into a flat bow with a lavender center and a bright red velvet ribbon lining the satin ribbon. It is a lovely effect! The edge of the pillbox is wired and covered in off-white velvet. There are two small combs on elastic bands to help hold the hat in place.

Condition: Very, very good, with what might be subtle discoloration of the inner velvet band and a slight bit of raveling of the ends of the bow.

Size: 5.75" in diameter, 2" tall. The inner circumference order of the crown is 17.5".
