"Ricordo l'amore" or I Remember Love is a spin off of my Kisses & Hugs series I'm doing to brighten things up during this COVID lock up period. This painting is 4"x4" and is hand painted by me. Flip the painting over and you will a key of amore! Now write a secret message and slip it under the key. Now you have meaningful keepsake piece between you and someone special. Oh and the painting also include order a hanging hook at the back for your convenience. :-)


Encaustic wax on pine wooden panel, 4"x4"x1".
Each piece is hand painted and signed by me. There are several layers of wax built up. I then drew on the surface with a sharp tool to inscribe my marks. This creates grooves into the wax to which I applied an oil paint stick to wash over the whole painting. The oil wash reveals all the rich nuanced surface textures. Since this is wax it is recommended that you keep this out of direct sunlight.
