VintiqueDesigns presents our take on the "Phoebe" bag, designed by Rebeka Lambert.
We've used a wonderful vintage cotton Twill fabric, from the 1970's - 1980's! A sky Blue background is perfect for the pale Pink, Yellow, and White Roses splashed across the fabric! Touches of green on the leaves. White Crocheted trim accents the opening of the bag,securely stitched, so that it will not roll up when carried or washed. A large self fabric pocket, trimmed with tiny, narrow White crochet, is on the outside back of the bag, for car keys, phone, whatever you need to carry close!
A tab closure with a magnetic snap closes the bag, and the single strap self fabric strap is 1" wide x 32" when drawn smallest, expanding to 61" total length, allowing you to wear as a crossbody bag no matter your size! The metal buckle and O ring allow the strap to slide easily! The bag is a flat bag with darts for depth, measuring 13" at the order top and 15" across the bottom. A 13" length with darts in the bottom, making it 3" deep.
The lining is a sky Blue lightweight cotton canvas fabric, with a large, divided pocket along one wall of the bag.
VintiqueDesigns applies heavyweight fusible interfacing to all vintage fabrics to stabilize vintage fibers, and maintain shape. Inner cotton fabrics, pockets, and straps have been been re-enforced with fusible interfacing as well, providing years of use. Our bags are WASHABLE! Machine wash is a mesh laundry bag, or handwash: we recommend that you soak in cool water and a mild detergent, such as Woolite. Rinse well, roll in a towel to absorb extra moisture (NO wringing or twisting) , and dry in a low-heat dryer! You will be SO amazed at how the dryer fluffs up the vintage fibers, making your bag look like new!
VintiqueDesigns uses pre-laundered fabrics to prevent shrinking and fading. All seams are professionally finished on a serger!
