This beautiful miniature chest of drawers is made in the larger than dollhouse size that is often referred to as 'play scale'. It measures 7 1/2" to the top of the mirror and the body of the dresser is 4 1/2" tall, 4 3/8" wide and 2 1/4" deep. It is a nice size match for 8" Ginny and her friends.
Made of solid wood with glued construction, a dark stain and a natural 'dry' finish with no varnish or other sealer. We can't identify the wood but it has a lovely smooth finish and interesting grain patterns. The back panel is pine. The drawers are the same size and open with small round-head tacks. The adjustable mirror is attached to the uprights with small screws and the back is covered in old paper.
In very nice condition with no breaks, splits or apparent re-glues and just a couple of very minor finish scuffs. All of the drawer interiors are present and original. The glass mirror shows a few age spots.
