Order Gold Earrings with Blue Topas, Double Hanger with Pearl, 585 Gold Filled

Wonderful earrings in the trendy "behind-the-ear style", with vermail (silver plated), oval hydro-blue topases and freshwater pearls.

The order beads are worked into the clasp, so the blue topas hangs in front and the pearl behind the earlobe. A second buckle without pearl is included, so that the earrings can only be worn with the blue topas.

The earrings are worked in 585 Gold Filled.
Goldfilled is a high-quality alloy of 14-carat gold (gold 585) and another metal. It is not comparable with a simple gilding, the gold layer is 100x thicker and is rolled in a special process.
This is an American standard, which states that at least 1/20 part of the weight of the piece must be 14-carat gold (gold 585). So it is not a thin layer that peels off quickly, but a proper alloy. This creates a beautiful quality that is well tolerated by people who cannot tolerate other metals other than gold. Goldfilled stays beautiful for a lifetime and is definitely worth the slightly higher price.
