Vintage String Holder Metal Pierced order Chromed Ball

This delightful string holder is probably vintage but could be a little older, Edwardian possibly.
The top half is pierced with scroll leaf designs and a hole in the centre for the string. The bottom half has an etched design and sits on a decorative foot.
The two half screw together nicely.
It has a makers stamp on the base DS in a triangle and a C in a circle.

The holder is a good weight and in lovely condition, a few scratches. Inside the bottom half of the holder there are some marks, please see the photos.
You can see the seam line in the top half of the holder.

The string holder is approximately 101mm high and about 97mm across.

The string is not included in the sale it is just to show you how looks.
