Product code: Order Blue and Orange Morrisonite Jasper Designer Cabochon, Morrison Ranch Jasper, Oregon
order Here's a cabochon of Morrisonite Jasper from Malheur County, Oregon. This fantastic stone was discovered in the 1940s and has not been mined since 1996 (and likely won't be again). It's known as the "King of the Jaspers" because of its highly varied colouring and outstanding patterns.
This one features a nice mix of orange/yellows, blues with some white streamers. It is a designer cabochon measuring roughly 55 mm x 37 mm at its widest points and is 5 mm thick. The stone is highly polished on the front, sanded clean on the back, and has a bezel of approximately 2 mm to help with setting in a custom piece of jewellery.
