This fun pair of dollhouse dolls are dressed as pilgrims. He is wearing gray/brown felt shorts, jacket, and hat. His large collar is made from woven cotton. There are seed beads as buttons. There is also a metal buckle on the trim on his hat. He has a black yarn or felt belt that is now torn. He is made out of bisque with a composition coating. He has molded blonde hair with blue eyes. His hand painted face is still very nice. He is wearing brown loafers. He is 4-3/8" tall x 1-7/8" wide x approximately 1" deep.
She is wearing a light blue cotton dress with a white bonnet, shawl, and apron. They are also cotton. She has molded blonde hair with blue eyes. Her face paint is nice. She is also made from composition covered bisque. She, too, is wearing brown loafers. She is 4" tall x 1-7/8" wide x approximately 1" deep.
The clothes are stitched onto the dolls so order I cannot see if they are marked. They were made in Germany. They are from the 1930s.
The dolls are jointed, and the elastic holding the doll's arms and legs is loose. But, because the clothes are stitched onto the dolls, the clothes are holding the limbs close to the doll. There are spots on the front of her apron. As I mentioned above, his belt is torn. There are a couple of nicks to the paint. Please see my pictures.
