Vintage 1956 Large ROY ROGERS BOOK - Favorite Western Stories WITH BOX - as told by Dorothea J. Snow, with drawings by John Ushler. - Published by Whitman Publishing Co. IT IS AN AUTHORIZED EDITION. There is a large picture of Roy on the book and box with a white cowboy hat and a nice blue western shirt. The cover of the book matches the cover of the box which is nice. This large book measures 11 7/16'' tall by 8 7/16'' wide by 1'' thick and has 252 pages. The book is also in good vintage condition. There is a tear first title page. Pages have discoloration from age and the type of paper used. Fragile paper which will tear very easy - The front and back of the cover is good and the bindings on this type of plastic covered books from the 1950's were notorious for cracked and missing bindings from use and over bending - BUT this one is higher priced because it is intact! hard to find them this good - although it still has age. Comes to you in good vintage condition - very nice - priced better than others with wear! The box measures slightly larger so the book can sit into the box. The box is in nice vintage condition considering the taking the book in and out - but age - and not perfect - has wear and reinforced at top of box with tape. All in all, the box is complete, sturdy and in pretty good shape for its age. It has nice bold colors! Measures - approx. 11 7/16 by 8 7/16 inches. I have another one cheaper - if still available and listed - and also one that is even better than this one - not listed yet - if interested in paying a little more for even better - email me.
