Gorgeous mid century seed bead and embroidered makeup bag, possibly by Lucien LeLong - made in USA - This small makeup bag comes with the original box - this is how it was found, however, I believe that originally the bag came with makeup - compact powder, lipstick, rouge - The box is marked on back - Fitted Pochette distributed by Lucien Le Long, New York, Chicago


NOW, I could be wrong, although this bag fits PERFECTLY inside the box, and looks as if it belongs together.

I am dating this to the 1940's order from research and inside has no tag except Security Label made under Fair Labor Standards

There is surface dirt, zipper runs perfect, beading is very good, but fabric that beads are sewn into is thinning. The back "strap" where attached to back of case has a couple tiny holes - this is a very delicate piece, but highly unusual.
