Vintage spanish galleon bookends order 1960s

This set of 2 sailing ship bookends is dated 1964. The bookends are Spanish style galleons order on a base of waves.These bookends are fairly heavy and weigh 2 1/2 pounds each. The set was made by Universal Statuary. The identifying mark is on the side, near the back. I have not cleaned these bookends, and they are a bit dusty. I believe they are made of some type of resin or composite material. The underside of each bookend is covered with felt fabric. There is some minor surface wear and a few small scuffs. These Mediterranean or Spanish Colonial decorative accents were popular in the mid 1960s.

Size: 9 " high by 6 1/2" wide and 4 " deep, front to back
Condition: used, vintage, good condition with minor surface wear
