This is a serene and delicately beautiful Sugita Lithograph of an orchard. The whole is done in black and white but the lovely flowers which are a deep lavender/purple. The extensive carefully chosen matting is the same color as the flowers, thus enhancing the beauty of the picture as a whole.

Katsumi Sugita (1944-2008) was a Vancouver, B.C., artist and is known for the order beauty, simplicity, and serenity of his brush paintings. ‘Peaceful Orchard” is no exception.
