I made this black, white and hot pink/fuschia/raspberry quilt with a baby girl in mind. I saw the cute damask fabric with the pink dots and it inspired me to use a different color. It has 4 inch squares in 10 different patterns, including houndstooth, damask, polka dots, butterflies, hearts, and arrows, and 6 'surprise squares' of different fabric textures. The patterns range from simple to more complex to grow with your baby's developing vision. The backing is snuggly black flannel with white bows. The 36 inch (3 foot) square size will grow with your baby for many years. The fabric is durable and easy care cotton. Just wash and dry like any other blanket. And with modern, trendy fabrics and a bold simple pattern, this quilt would also make a nice lap quilt, throw or wall hanging for any girl.



Perfect for Tummy Time! (Doctors say to put babies to sleep on their back and put them on their tummies during the day to develop back, neck and arm muscles. They call this 'Tummy Time'.) This quilt helps stimulate infant vision, touch and brain with bold, high-contrast black, white and hot pink squares. Patterns range from solids to more complex patterns to grow with baby's development. Each quilt I make is unique, but all have 6 'surprise' squares in different fabric textures (satin, corduroy, flannel, velvet, terrycloth, minky, denim, canvas, textured poly/cotton blend, upcycled sweaters) to stimulate sense order of touch. 3 foot square size goes from Tummy Time to nap time with a snuggly flannel backing and batting (stuffing) as thick as a comforter. Machine stitched with durable, high quality quilter's cotton fabric and flannel with a polyester batting. Machine wash, tumble dry. Made with pre-washed, preshrunk fabric and washed after completing. This insures that the pink and black colors will never run on the white fabric.
