order This is a stoneware lidded jar, with a carved knob on the lid which sits perfectly in the gallery of the rim. It is medium sized, large enough for a batch of cookies or other treats. Could be used for anything needing a ceramic crock. It has multi-colored glazes on the exterior, and a subtle speckled gray glaze on the inside.

Because of the many layers of glazes and the unpredictable and tricky slow-cooled firing process, there were some glaze runs which were ground off. There are two detailed pictures of the ground drips.

All food safe glazes.
