Title: Walking in the Light of the Shepherd

Just as the shepherd in the painting leads the lamb across the water, Jesus encourages us to follow Him to greater things.
“Come,” he said.Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. (Matthew 14:29)

We have only good things in store for us, nothing to fear!
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake.” (Psalm 23:1-3 NIV)

Notice that the lamb has a dark shadow in the water but Jesus casts only light onto the water. "We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?” (Romans 6:2)
