Pedro Castillo order Cufflinks, Taxco Mexico, Sterling Silver Niello, Native Archer Warrior, Eagle Mark

These attractive cufflinks have a stylized image of an impressed image of an archer or native warrior in black niello that contrasts beautifully with the sterling silver. The cufflinks are triangular with rounded corners and measure approximately 1 1/4 by 7/8 inches. The backs have the Mexican pre-eagle mark with the maker's initials C and P for Pedro order Castillo who worked with both Spratling and Aguilar before opening his own shop in the 1940's. The cufflinks date from the 1950's-60's. They are solid sterling silver with a combined weight of 14.4 grams. They are striking and in excellent vintage condition.
