order Description:

A beautiful hand carved wooden figure of a sleeping cat by John Mainwaring, England.

Identifying Marks / Makers Marks:

Signed on the base "JM" as shown in the photographs.

Age / date of manufacture:

Exact date unknown.

Size:

Measures 1 1/2" (3.75 cm) tall and is 3" (just over 7.5 cm) x 2 1/4" (5.75 cm) in diameter across the base.

Condition:

In good undamaged condition. No chips or cracks but has a few 3 small pale spots of water damage, 2 on the reverse and 1 on the front ridge of the back. These marks are quite light but mentioned for complete accuracy.
