Listing for a 18 inch keepsake memory bear.

Give a one of a kind gift made from the clothing from a loved one, or other fabrics supplied by you, that you wish to memorialize and make into a bear or pillow. These kinds of gifts can bring comfort to those who may have suffered a loss, or joy to one who would like to remember something special.


I take making each and every keepsake bear and pillow very seriously order and try to represent the clothing as best as possible.
Each bear is made with the utmost care and respect. I began making memory bears with the loss of a loved one, and I strive to make each bear with just as much care as if I were making it for my own family. The bears photographed are of bears I have made. I am located in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Please see my page for more examples of my work

To best represent the clothing I will use as many of the original buttons, logos, patches, and other embellishments as I can in the creation of each bear. Some designs may be too large and it may not fit on the bear, or be reduced to fit to the pattern and altered slightly. I use black plastic safety eyes and embroider the noses and mouth with embroidery floss. (This can shrink if put in the dryer, try your best to avoid washing the bear in a washing machine or putting it in a dryer) All bears are stuffed with soft poly fill. Each bear is created in a smoke-free pet friendly home.

Some suggestions for clothing are:

Cotton button down shirts, I use the buttons on the bear and the cuffs if you choose this option. (I cannot create the cuffs or collar if there isn't one)
Polo shirts
Tshirts
Sweat shirts
Pajamas
Flannel or fleece
Tightly woven sweaters

For material that is not stable cotton would require additional lining. Lining for bears to be made from t-shirts, stretchy fabrics or light weight fabrics is required. Example include: cotton t-shirts, any 100% polyester fabrics, silk or silk-like fabrics, lightweight cottons, etc.

Amount of clothing needed by size
Large shirts and up : 1 shirt per bear
Medium or smaller: a minimum of 2 shirts PER bear.
Baby or Childrens clothing will require several outfits, please send a message to discuss.

I can determine fabric placements from what is provided or follow your instructions for placement if you have one in mind. Please write a note and place in package if you would like something a certain way.

Process of Ordering

1. Once I receive notification of your paid purchase, I will message you through Etsy with my address in which you will ship your items to. Please add tracking to your shipment and include your name inside the package and any requests on how you would like the bear made

Please send your items as soon as possible

2. When I receive your items I will let you know they have safely arrived and discuss the details of what you would like created.

3. I will keep you updated with the progress let you know when your bear is ready to return ship

** Processing time begins once I receive your items in the mail. As this is a custom handmade item I cannot refund once I cut your material. These bears are intended to be a keepsake and are not intended as a toy for small children.

IF ORDERING FOR CHRISTMAS GIFT I WILL NEED CLOTHING BY OCTOBER 15th otherwise I can't guarantee it completed for Christmas.
