My decorative boxes are hand carved from Thuya wood burl. Thuya wood has been famous for its gorgeous grain and distinctive aroma since ancient times. Furniture and home decoration made of Thuya wood were found in ancient Roman ruins.
Thuya trees are found in the Atlas Mountains in Northwest Africa and nowhere else in the world. Thuya burl products are unique and never made in large quantities, because of the limited wood supply and sustainable production.
