A-line skirt made of a vintage linen tablecloth from order Germany with two big pockets.

I pick up tablecloths for quite a while now because I like the different weaves and prints.
They are often very well made because they need to go in the washing machine a lot.
Of course every bit of fabric is also laundered when it arrives in the studio.

The fabric is a rather heavy linen. It has lovely rims with woven figurines, men and women in traditional dress and slim ones with a more abstract pattern.
The colors of the rim are ocher and brown, the fabric itself is off white.
The linen has a subtle pattern of lines and diamonds, it is nice and soft as all linen tends to go soft when it grows older.

I've added two big pockets that are finished with home made bias tape in a rich golden color with tiny gray dots.

Zip in central back. Thin waistband of white trim on the inside of the skirt.

The skirt is designed to be worn on the low waist but can be worn higher according to preference.
