1912 Brittany Mortimer order Menpes Adam and Charles Black Travel Illustrated

This work is one of a larger series produced by A and C Black, which saw many decoratively bound and profusely illustrated topographical works on various countries.

Menpes went on a sketching tour of Brittany in 1880 and this work contains several sketches from this journey.

Illustrated throughout by Mortimer Menpes with the text written by his daughter Dorothy. With seventy-five colour illustrations.

Mortimer Menpes was an Australian-born artist, author, printmaker and illustrator.

This order work is a reprint published seven years after the work's initial publication.
