PRODUCT INFORMATION
This wall art features order a digital reproduction of a vintage Standard Oil magazine cover depicting the future Standard Diablo Tower, the Standard Oil Company's beacon light for aviators that was constructed in 1928. The ten-million-candle-power light, which became known as the "Eye of Diablo," was turned after December 8, 1941, immediately following the attack on Pearl Harbor, and was not relit until December 7, 1964. After falling into disrepair, the beacon was removed for extensive restoration work in 2013 and has since been restored. The beacon is light every December 7 to commemorate the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.
