Iceland - Jökulsárlón bay order Icebergs

Iceland's Sólheimajökull glacier on the southern coast of Iceland on the way to Vik. I went on a tour walking up and over the glacier on a wet, foggy and cold September day. There were not many people there and the views were astonishing. As the Sólheimajökull glacier slowly recedes it calves icebergs into Jökulsárlón bay. They can be mere chips of ice or icebergs bigger than the boat we were in; some can reach 100 ft in length. This early morning, we found these beautiful blue icebergs covered in a very still fog, lying low on the water. We drifted through the order ghostly grey bay on our amphibious craft trying not to make a wake, trying not to disturb the pure peacefulness.

The land of glaciers, icebergs, and volcanos. Iceland is a world of wonders. This series is of the southern coast from the Snæfellsjökull Peninsula, in the west to the Sólheimajökull glacier, Jökulsárlón bay and the Diamond Beach with its black sand and Diamond icebergs. When I was there the fog never quite lifted but it created a magical world of softened shapes and subtle drama .

Frame is for display purposes only. You can find a pre-made frame at your local stores or use an experienced framer for the best results. Print sizes are standard US sizes and most have ready-made frames in stores that sell frames. If desired I can have prints done in standard UK sizes as well, please email requests.
