This is a handcrafted piece of original floral textile art This piece.
This is a handcrafted piece of original floral textile art. This piece is handmade/sewn using order a free-motion stitching technique. Free- motion stitching is a "freehand" motion of the sewer. I used various
strips of linen blend fabrics (cream and blush pink) as the flower and cotton and linen blend fabric (greens) for the leaves - then, free-hand stitched over the fabric. The technique is designed to give a piece a unique look - no defined lines, no one flower is like the other. I love this approach to sewing because it gives me the freedom to truly make my own design onto the fabric. Up close, you will see frayed edges of the flowers, which gives it such a whimsical look!
This truly unique piece is perfect for your home or to give as a gift.
The art will come FRAMED- meaning, you will receive the:
1) Fabric Artwork: which is backed with a firm iron-on fusible interfacing material that gives it sturdiness, then mounted onto cold-pressed watercolor paper
* the watercolor paper is a natural color and is textured, which adds a beautiful touch to the framing process
2) A WHITE Frame; The overall frame size is about 8.8 x 8.8 inches; the frame can be rested or hung.
* Due to variations with photography and computer screens, variations in colors may occur.
* The art is created in my smoke-free, pet-free home studio.
* The frame was purchased. The artwork is handcrafted.
* The floral artwork is mounted onto the watercolor paper using fabric adhesive (adhesive stability may alter based on humidity and area climate).
* In an effort to keep shipping costs free to you and be mindful of the environment, you may receive your purchase in a reused commercial packaging box.
* In the staging photographs, I have left the frame glass out - to reduce reflection with photographing. The frame WILL COME WITH THE GLASS. If you choose to leave the art piece framed without the glass, then you may need to use a lint roller to remove dust collection from time to time, but please note that the frayed edges of the piece will lift with that process.
