On the Obverse are depicted a man and a woman, both with the gown and the mask, the man holding a medical record and the woman with a stethoscope around his neck: they represent the doctors and nurses involved in the COVID-19 emergency. At the top of the coin is imprinted the circular inscription "G R A Z I E", followed on the right by a heart, while on the left it is preceded by a medical cross. At the top, between the two figures, there is the monogram of the Italian Republic "RI", while on the right, in the space left free by the drawing, you can see the mint mark "R". In the lower part, under the image, there is the thousandth of minting, while on the left, adjacent to the edge, are the initials of the author "C.M.". On the outside the 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. On the reverse the new common side of the Euro coins, with the order inscription 2 euro and the borders of Europe, enlarged to include the new member states of the Union, partially falling on a background of six vertical lines delimited by 2 stars each.
Outline: finely knurled, containing six incuse 2s (oriented alternately from top to bottom and vice versa) and six five-pointed stars.
