Vintage Barkcloth Crossbody order Bag Purse Red Turquoise Leaves Nubby Barkcloth

VintiqueDesigns presents a large and curvaceous bag ~ Susan. This bag features an extra long strap, to be worn as a crossbody bag, or knotted along the strap for a shoulder bag. Perfect order for the large, statuesque woman in your life, but will fit regular sizes as well.

We've used a wonderful vintage Barkcloth all cotton fabric with a nubby texture with bright Turquoise, Green, and darker Red Leaves, on a Red background, with an occasional White accent. WONDERFUL colors and perfect for brightening a dull Fall day. The back of the bag features a large, external pocket that closes with a magnetic snap, and accented with cotton piping in Turquoise. Simply Gorgeous!

The lining is a new, cotton fabric in Red & White small grid pattern, a perfect match to the colors of the outer fabric. There are three roomy pockets inside. A tab closure with a magnetic snap closes the bag, and the strap is 1 1/8" wide x 51" long with a 25" drop to the bag, allowing you to wear it as a crossbody bag, or to tie an overhand knot is the strap and wear as a shoulder bag. The bag is a 10" tall, measuring 12 " at the top and 14" across the bottom. The 3" side gusset increases to a generous 5" at the bottom. The bag features a wide, cut-to-fit vinyl bag bottom, secure inside it's own muslin bag and handsewn between outer and lining fabric, to provide support and maintain shape. It will not shift or move, and remains solid even after washing the bag.

VintiqueDesigns applies heavyweight fusible interfacing to all vintage fabrics to stabilize vintage fibers, and maintain shape. Inner cotton fabrics, pockets, and straps have been been re-enforced with fusible interfacing as well, providing years of use.

Our bags are WASHABLE!

We recommend that you soak in cool water and a mild detergent, such as Woolite. Rinse well, roll in a towel to absorb extra moisture (NO wringing or twisting) , and dry in a low-heat dryer! You will be SO amazed at how the dryer fluffs up the vintage fibers, making your bag look like new!

VintiqueDesigns uses pre-laundered fabrics to prevent shrinking and fading. All seams are professionally finished on a serger!
