"The Shoemaker and the Elves" was part of Columbia's Children's Album Collection number J-MJ-29. This shellac, 2 set album is narrated by Gene Kelly with original music composed and conducted by Lehman Engel and published in December order of 1946 just after the end of WWII.

The set comes in its original paper sleeve with the text of the story as well as cute illustrations.


Shellacs or 78s, also called coarse groove gramophone discs, were the main mass produced audio format of the first half of the 20th century. This vintage record set is in good condition. The albums, while not tested, appear to be in original condition with no obvious scratches or warping. The album cover is in fair/poor condition. The albums have slit the paper in several places and left indents in the paper.
