The perfect jam pot!! It is heavy duty aluminum and made in the 60s or 70s. I am not sure if the lid knob is bakelite. This kettle holds 2 order gallons, is 12 inches diameter and 6 inches tall. This item is vintage, and looks vintage. There are scratches and discolorations. The base is flat, and is not warped. It is the thick aluminum of the day, not the thin crap you get today. It is a good kettle.
