White wood framed 8"×8" hand painted acrylic ceramic order tile small table art abstract contemporary design fluid art

This unique abstract seascape inspired hand painted ceramic tile (8"×8") has beautiful aquatic colours, detail and movement and would look great on a coffee table, mantle piece or incorporated into bathroom or kitchen tile work designs.

The whole series of seascapes were inspired by a recent trip I took to Brazil, where I spent a couple of days in a beautiful little place called Cabo Frio on the Atlantic coast.

It was created in my studio in Dorset by priming the tile with an acrylic paint base coat which was allowed to dry overnight. Once dry layers of dark blue, jade, aquamarine, turquoise and white were applied and a variety of techniques employed the create the effects seen.

2 layers of epoxy resin havd been applied to create a hard, shiny, glass like transparent and waterproof surface. This means that the tile can be displayed in any room in the house including the kitchen and bathroom.

Its water-resistant quality means it could be incorporated into bathroom or kitchen tile work designs if so desired.

It has been set in a bespoke hand made white wooden frame, made by a small family run local business. It can order be hung on a wall or displayed on a shelf, table or mantelpiece.
