Made at the Днепропетровский завод электробытовой техники (Dnipropetrovsk Factory of Electric Home Appliances), this gorgeous electric samovar in front of you is an authentic CCCP Soviet Ukrainian electric samovar (fully functional and ready to make tea). It is in fabulous condition for its age!

If you don't know, samovars consist of a large order metal container with a heating source. The water is heated in the surrounding container, and after the water boils a teapot is placed on top to be heated by the rising steam. The teapot is used to brew a strong concentrate of tea known as заварка (zavarka), which is then mixed with the hot water from inside the main body. The body is made of nickel-plated brass (very similar to stainless steel).
