The frosted Beijing glass bottle is in a flattened form tapering to an oval foot outlined in blue. It has a hand carved blue glass overlay featuring the Eight Sacred Symbols of Buddhism. The wheel of the law, the conch shell, lotus flower, endless knot, parasol, pair of fish, victory banner and a sacred vase. It is paired with a pink glass stopper encased in copper. Dating: post 1950. There is a period in the early history of the People Republic of China during the time when Chairman Liu Shaoqi was in power, he promoted and encouraged the production of Chinese arts and crafts. The result was the high quality of art, of which this snuff bottle is a good example. Dimensions: 2 inches wide, 3/4 inch thick and 3 1/8 inch high with the stopper Condition: very order good.
