Desert Twilight- Rare Vera Cruz order Harlequin Amethyst with Red Hematite Inclusions Unique Formation Moonstone Specimen Vial Elemental Curios

When I first received this gorgeous Harlequin Vera Cruz Amethyst I wanted to put it up on display so I could continue to admire the lovely red hematite specs and unique cross formation of this piece! Sadly with all the dust storms and blowing sand out where I live- using that tacky base stuff turns it quickly into a sticky blob of dust...so I had to create something to help this diminutive beauty stand up and stay protected. I recycle just about everything and I had this little vial left over from a perfume sample that I had just thoroughly cleaned out (don't worry- all trace of perfume smell is completely gone). I discovered it was just the perfect size to contain this powerhouse crystal! Wanting to give it a companion stone, I chose these bright, flashy rainbow moonstone chips to pair with it. I topped it off with a fresh piece of cork for an old-fashioned curio cabinet feel. The end result is something that reminds me of the original inspiration I felt for it....the fiery lilac desert sky at twilight...with the warm air rushing over your skin, ruffling your hair as you watch the magical light of the stars beginning to speckle the sky with their elusive dusk blue sparkle.
