Holstein Cow Primitive Hand Hooked Rug, Wall Hanging, Table Accent, order etc.

Hi, my name is Sharon Fitzpatrick Perry and I have been hooking primitive style wall hangings, trivets, chair pads, floor mats, ornaments, proddy pins, etc. for over 25 years. As you can imagine, I have a pretty good stock on hand so I decided to open this etsy shop so I can share many of my finished products. I buy the wool by the yard, wash it, dry it, dye it and cut it into 1/4" strips to create my hooked pieces making them one of a kind designs.

This Holstein Cow is hooked with 1/4" (#8) wool fabric strips on rug hooking linen. It is finished on the underside with rug binding tape. The cow is hooked with oatmeal heather and black with a light flesh tone wool for the udder. For the background I used 3 shades of blue hooked horizontally at random. For a finishing touch I added two rows of a nutmeg/cinnamon plaid around the outer edge. It measures 8 1/2" by 11" and would make a lovely wall hanging, small pillow, or furniture accent. All of my rugs come from a smoke free environment and signed by me on order the underside binding.
