99.2 mm Attached order Bivalve ORANGE & Red SPONDYLUS americanus Thorny Oyster SEASHELL

Stunning Spondylus americanus/Thorny Oyster attached bivalve in stunning shades of reds and orange. This was collected and gifted to me by a friend who dives in the Florida Keys. It measures 3.90" from the front hinge to the longest spine. Shell itself without the order spines is about 2.71". Good condition with nice long leafy spines but it is hard to tell if any are broken. A beautiful specimen!
