Here it comes, another patiently hand-decorated retro umbrella, with the aim of connecting modern with Victorian esthetics. I personally love historical styles and more than often take or make clothing items or accessoirs from historical aspect and combine them with modern ones.
I know there are a lot of people today following historical styles in dress, so I'd like to offer likeminded people retro items.
I took this foldable umbrella (25cm long when folded, 52 when elongated, with diameter of 95cm when open) in lovely olive green colour, and worked a while on its decorations firstly by applying lace in the same colour at its ends, then rows of satin ribbon, twisting it and doing everything by hand (quite exhausting, working while the umbrella is open to be able to fully control how it's going to look), sewing tiny red paillettes, then adding satin roses and plastic green stones, to come up with an idea of a cute tiny bag, hanging from the handle (it can order be easily removed and attached again), black with olive lace, where you can put handkerchief or anything small. It took quite several days to fully finish everything, to look and think how much is enough, etc.
I think, apart from people interested in historical accessoirs, this umbrella may interest carneval-loving people, you who attend Jane Austin balls, various cosplays with real and steady clothing items that don't get worn and thrown after one party, steampunk, lovers of cottage core, dark academia folks, and as I personally do, you can use the same umbrella both for rain and as a parasol in summer.
Oh yes, with the umbrella you will get a velvet retro lady purse for this umbrella (or anything else), and a matching little retro XIX century item, either gloves or something similar.
