This deluxe presentation boasts 7 records, each in a custom color inner sleeve, all nestled in a slipcase inside an outer box, looking both impressive and durable. A fact-packed 12-page booklet details the stories behind the bands and their songs.

Monthly magazine Readers Digest used its midcentury ubiquity to market music boxes like this to its subscribers. The sets were always something you'd be proud to have in your home. And despite the passage of decades, that remains true. Big band fans old and new would love this appreciative flashback to the sound's glory days.

All of the records play near-new! The booklet could have been better cared for, but its info still reads clean, clear and definitely essential.
