Great German stoneware container late 1800s early 1900s
Ceramic cookie jar or as storage jar for other dry cooking elements.
This would make a an adorable decorative storage jar on one of your shelves

It was made this way.
Lid size is 4.84" in diameter (12.3cm) Inside resting lip is 5.07" diameter (12.9cm)
Hight total with lid 9" (23cm)
Pot size 7.10" high by 5.5" diameter (18cm par 14 de diametre)
Inside dimensions 6.30" high by 4.5" diameter (16cm par 11.5cm)
As of the blue cobalt design it is from the Bavarian region
After the stamp on the bottom this is a Simon Peter Gerz I (G.m.b.H.)

The principle color is this blue cobalt
This could have been a tobacco pot for pipe smokers if we follow the figurine on the lid But I do have a doubt as the lid does not have a humidifier pocket. If some one is a Collectionner Tobacciana would like to clarify this.
In a general good condition
There are some worn areas on the rim of the order pot and a small chip on the top rim edge of pot and tiny chip inside of the elf's foot.
Please see photos. The photos have a tendance to make them (the chips) seem bigger then are.
This sending will require a signature as it is a registered sending due to weight . Can not do otherwise
