THE OVERLANDERS (1946) Rare Still EALING Studios Daphne Campbell and her horse order Lassie

A rare vintage UK STILL for the 1946 EALING STUDIOS film "THE OVERLANDERS", with what appears to be the feint signature of Daphne Campbell (with the addition 'and Lassie'). (See Note below). Storyline: In Northern Australia at the start of WW2, the Japanese are getting close. People are evacuating and burning everything in a "scorched earth" policy. Rather than kill all their cattle, a disparate group decide to drive them overland, half way across the continent.

Directed by Harry Watt. Stars Chips Rafferty, Daphne Campbell, Peter Pagan.

NOTE: order The signature has faded with time, is very feint, in ink and is mainly only visible when the photo is held under a strong light at a certain angle. There are no Daphne Campbell autograph examples online to compare the signature to, so I am offering this item as a vintage STILL only. I have included pictures of the signature but they are difficult to photograph clearly.

DAPHNE CAMPBELL (1924 – 2013) Australian actress. She never made another film.

CONDITION: Very good for 75 years old. Corner knocks. Light crease to top right corner. Ideal for collecting / framing.
