The BookWorker is hand-sewn and machined with small embroidery adverts. It is customizable depending on gender and age. A useful tool to play and to learn by playing. BookPlay games stimulate creativity and dexterity.
The idea was born by looking at other similar products on Etsy and Pinterst. I lived in London where tactile books are very fashionable. I have an autistic son and some games have helped me read, write and count. Designing and order sewing the various games also helps me to detach my head from the thousand thoughts of everyday life that I am forced to live. The BookWorker contains three of my passions: the love for drawing, creativity and sewing.
The idea of dolls takes me back to my childhood when I played with paper dolls cut out of newspapers.
The Book Games dedicated to fairy tales and cottage are my favorites. The girls play there for hours and have a lot of fun swapping clothes.
The "girls" attached to the book are constantly evolving and can take the form that pleases those who have to play there.
More "girls" of cloth with lots of clothes to collect are coming.
The materials I use vary depending on age and mainly are felt, cloth, wood, embroidery thread, buttons.
