This pin is stamped on the back Made in France. it appears to be handpainted and very old. I have taken pictures with a magnifying lens to show as much closeup as I can. The Trombone clasps started around 1890, mostly on French Pieces. They were used sporadically through the years up thrubtge 80s. the back of this piece looks like it could be opened but I did not open it. Any cleaning is left up to order the buyer.
