Handmade model of the monstrously ugly mesozoic fish known as Xiphactinus! This particular model is based on specimen FHSM VP-333 mounted in the Sternberg Museum of Natural History, in Hays, Kansas. Sealed away within the boney necropolis of the carcass its final victim can be seen, trapped forever in the beast that killed it order.
This was created with the use of a clay mould made by myself, so while this listing represents a finished and available product it will be kept in regular stock.
Each fossil replica is created with a handmade mould and then detailed and painted by me, so while each will be unique in some way the quality of the final product will be consistent. Each piece comes with an identification card with more information about the creature.
