Delft order Blue Wall Plate D28cm Regina Delfts hand painted after Jan Steen "Happy Family" Dutch Heritage Cobalt Blue Delftware, decorative plate

A lovely vintage Delft Blue wall plate hand painted in cobalt blue. The center of the plate is featuring "The Happy Family" painting of Jan Steen (Leiden 1626-1679). The scalloped edge is decorated with chinoisery flower ornament. Collectible Dutch heritage delftware pottery made by the famous Regina pottery factory.
Regina Delfts pottery (Kunstaardewerkfabriek order Regina), existed from 1898 to 1979. The factory was established in Queen Wilhelmina's coronation year 1898, hence the name Regina, Latin for "Queen". On the back side the plate has two small holes in its foot ring with a wire for hanging it on a wall.

The plate measures 11 inches (28 cm) in diameter and 1 inch (2.5 cm) high
Weight of the item: 792 grams
Marked on the bottom with Regina Delfts pottery mark. The plate is also marked with the number: 430, marked Holland and signed by the artist: J. de Jong.
Very good vintage condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. There is some light crazing on the back of the plate.
