A sumptuous antique order colour lithograph from 1886, "Humours of Horse-Racing a Hundred Years Ago". The sheet contains two panels of illustrations, one entitled "Weighing and Rubbing Down", and the other, "Between the Races". Text under the illustrations state "from drawings by Thomas Rowlandson". Rowlandson was an English artist and caricaturist of the Georgian era, noted for his political satire and social observation.

This is an original from 1886, not a reproduction! Bananastrudel sells only originals. The Bananastrudel watermark does not appear on the print. This print appeared in a special supplement of The Graphic, a British weekly illustrated newspaper with immense influence on the art world. Vincent van Gogh was a particular fan.
In very good condition. Minor tears along the borders, if any, have been repaired with archival mending tissue.
