Both pieces have some cracking, checking and bark inclusions.

Both pieces will need stabilizing.

ALL PIECES ARE DRY AND READY TO WORK

These pieces are highly figured with curly interlocking grain and super heavy spalting yet are remarkably sound. HOWEVER, Spalted Wood is inherently soft and often punky. The dark streaks are the fungus doing the cool look. This fungus is now inert as these pieces are dry and ready to be stabilized with a grain hardner. Ask us for more details on this step. These pieces will need stabilizing.
Please look at picture closely for all the inherent natural beauty and character marks. Our shop offers finishing and custom cutting should you request it for an additional fee,
