Bound in original blue cloth, the bindings are in smart condition. There is some wear to the edges and darkening to the spines and edges. There is minor marking and rubbing to the boards, with some staining and wear to the boards spine on vol 2, and the spine order of vol 3 is separating down the rear edges. Inside, other than the toning and age spotting expected of books this age, the pages are clean and bright and in excellent condition. The only real point to note is the tear to the title page of volume 1, which goes about a third of the way up the page. There is a neat ownership inscription to the ffep of each volume.
In all, the books are in good condition, although they have gained a little damage and wear over the years, they remain complete, smart, and very collectible.
