The 1980s was a time of abundance, optimism and expression and fashion followed this new trend of excessiveness. TV shows like Dallas and Dynasty promoted obvious displays of wealth, like heavy, glitzy jewellery and sparkling, sequined clothing and as a result '80s fashion became bold, glam and glitzy. Velour was hot and velvet was even hotter.

The silhouette of this early ‘80s Scandinavian glam piece draws from the 1970s disco look giving it a timeless appeal.
