Here I am, once again revisiting my favorite town from my home state, Portage Lake. This one was inspired by a painting hanging in Portage Lake's town hall done by my late cousin, Boyd Pryor. My childhood friend and classmate - the Princess of Portage Lake, Corrine Gagnon recently shared it with me. Portage is beautiful all year long, but it really comes alive in the fall. Those living there are experiencing the end of this season right now, but this depicts autumn just as it begins.
I have painted this with ink and acrylics order with a colorful bubble design throughout the image playing off the black linework to give just a slightly more funky/abstract feel to my usual style. I really enjoy combining my love for nature with my comic book style linework. The 7x5 inch painting has a vintage whirring and gold frame.
